Does your dog have the charm, personality, and paw-sitive leadership skills to become Nashville’s next Dog Mayor? Register your pooch as an official candidate and get ready to rally friends, family, and fellow dog lovers behind their campaign! Registration is open through September 11, 2026.

Registration Deadline: September 11, 2026

Voting: September 16 at 7:00 A.M. – September 29, 2026

 

Once voting begins, it’s time to hit the campaign trail! Supporters can cast their votes by contributing to their favorite canine candidate, and the dog that raises the most money will be crowned Dog Mayor of Nashville. The winning pup will be contacted on September 30 and invited to serve as a special guest at the Golden Gathering on October 1, 2026. Along with some serious neighborhood bragging rights, the new Dog Mayor will receive a spa day at the groomer and a special treat basket. Every candidate has a chance to have fun, rally their community, and help make this fundraiser a tail-wagging success!

    The Howard County Farmers Market is open each Friday, May through September. It offers fresh, locally grown produce as well as local honey, baked goods, eggs, meat and other local crafts. Find our Facebook page for a list of weekly vendors.
